About Baskets of Hope

Baskets of Hope is our annual fundraiser held in October. It’s a fun evening with a meal and beautiful themed baskets donated by businesses and groups throughout McLennan County. It is an informal evening in which our guests spend time eating and participating in a silent auction of these baskets.

It’s a great time to visit with friends and do some shopping. During the evening, a brief program includes three or four of our graduates sharing their stories to give our guests a clear picture of the ways in which women who participate in our program are making positive lifestyle changes not only for themselves but for their families and generations to come.

This annual fundraising event benefits the mission and ministry of Christian Women’s Job Corps.  Sponsors and donors have helped make a difference in women’s lives.

• More than 100 women have completed the program, have made positive lifestyle changes, and are contributing to the community.
• Over 65% of our graduates are working and/or going to MCC or TSTC to further their education.
• The lives of future generations of our graduates are being positively affected. 
• Community involvement in our ministry resulted in over 5,600 volunteer hours in 2008.
