Baskets of Hope

Baskets of Hope is our annual fundraiser held in October. It’s a fun evening with a meal and beautiful themed baskets donated by businesses and groups throughout McLennan County. It is an informal evening in which our guests spend time eating and participating in a silent auction of these baskets. There are also items that are included in a raffle. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event. It’s a great time to visit with friends and do some shopping. During the evening, a brief program includes three or four of our graduates sharing their stories to give our guests a clear picture of the ways in which women who participate in our program are making positive lifestyle changes not only for themselves but for their families and generations to come.

This annual fundraising event benefits the mission and ministry of Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Sponsors and donors have helped make a difference in women’s lives:

Eighty women have made positive lifestyle changes and are contributing to the community

• Over 65% of the graduates have jobs and are able to provide for themselves and their families
• Graduates are attending MCC and TSTC
• Future generations of these families will benefit from what the women have learned
• New curriculum has been added
• Our education program has been expanded to 14 weeks
• Over 4,000 volunteer hours are contributed by the community each year
